What is salt therapy?

Dry salt therapy, also known as Halotherapy, is used around the world to improve overall wellness. Our beautiful active dry salt room features a halogenerator that disperses micro-sized salt particles into the air. These salt particles enter your respiratory system and may help remove toxins and boost the immune system.

Testimonial Story

Ralph Hesbitts* has been an Empowered Healing client for about six years now. Recently, he’s added Salt Therapy sessions to his regular weekly Massage Therapy appointments. Ralph suffers from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a disease caused by scarred lung tissue. He has experienced significant improvement in his breathing since starting Salt Therapy at EH. “When I’m sitting in the salt room, I sit near the salt outlet, and I breathe in deeply using my diaphragm, and open my mouth to inhale and exhale. That brings in all that salt into my lungs. I use an oximeter, and that tells me how much oxygen saturation is in my bloodstream. Without the use of the oxygen supplement, I have been experiencing 94-95 % oxygen saturation resting.”

What to wear

Wear whatever makes you comfortable. The salt room is meant to be a space of relaxation and meditation. For individuals utilizing our salt room for skin conditions, we recommend exposing the areas of skin that are needing treatment. The salt powder dispersed into the room is more likely to show up on darker colored clothes. Please keep this in mind for your session.

Disclaimer

Halotherapy is not a substitute for medical treatments. It is always recommended that you seek medical advice regarding any health concerns you may have. Salt therapy may help with some skin and respiratory conditions, but it is not a cure.
