TMJ Basics CE
Course Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, all participants will know how to successfully identify the musculature considered the TMJ (temporomandibular joint), actions of each muscle, understand basic synergistic and antagonistic principles of the musculature and how that applies to treatment sessions, ability to effectively measure ROM of the jaw, ability to develop effective treatment plans, and ability to effectively palpate musculature of the TMJ both intra orally and externally.
This is a TMJ basics class. Ample time is built into each class for participants to practice the material learned both in theory and in palpation skills.

Jenni Hansen, LMT has been practicing massage and offering intra-oral TMJ massage related bodywork to her clients for the past 13 years. She was fortunate enough to learn this skill through her education at the Omaha School of Massage. Jenni has broken this class down into acheivable objectives that empower practitioners to offer this bodywork in their practice right away. This class offers just enough information for practioners to be able to firmly grasp basic concepts of how the jaw moves, built in practice time for both external and intraoral work during class, and a deeper understanding of common indications for treatment.
Jenni developed a passion for teaching within the last 8 years when she implemented training with her employee team. She is excited to share this seminar which teaches intra-oral massage, which she believes is an essential palpation skill for all LMT’s. Her hope is to empower individuals, both practitioner and client alike, in order to truly help her community be pain free.

Cancellation Policy
All CE classes are expected to be prepaid in full. Tuition for class is refundable for up to 14 days prior to the start of class. Please send an email to jennihansen@empoweredhealingllc.com to cancel. Tuition can be carried over to another future class date for illness or emergency related reasons. If a participant has not signed up within 6 months of the original class date, tuition will be forfeited.
