Tyne Muggy, Administrative Assistant/Eclectic Education Coordinator
One of my favorite quotes is by Renaissance artist, Michelangelo, who reportedly said at the age of 87, “Ancora imparo" (Italian for "I am still learning"). My career has taken me down some unexpected paths, and instilled in me a deep sense of curiosity and desire for lifelong learning.
A reason why I am so excited about my role at Empowered Healing is that it allows me to collaborate with the community as we schedule events and optimize the space in the Eclectic Education studio.
I am a death doula trained through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA). Over the next year, I am completing an additional level of certification. During this time, I will be slowly building up my practice and honing my specialties.
I double majored in Sociology and Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and graduated with distinction. I went on to attain my Masters in Counseling from Doane University. I was a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) for several years, though my license is expired at this time.
I was faculty at Lincoln Family Medicine Program, where I instructed medical students and physicians on mental health and social issues, communication skills, and wellness strategies for themselves and their patients.
Music is one thing that brings me joy and I’m so happy to be the manager of the jug band Root Marm Chicken Farm.
I also love nature and watching plants grow. One doula service I provide includes assisting my clients and their circle of care as they cultivate grief gardens.
